Officially the most normal town in England and best known for its power station Didcot is about 8 miles outside Oxford and being an old railway town, it naturally houses the Didcot Railway Centre, a former Great Western Railway engine shed and locomotive stabling point.
It has since been converted in to a railway museum and preservation engineering site.
Didcot is also home to the Wave Leisure Pool, sporting a wave machine, giant flume and beach area it’s a great place to go out with the family for some get wet fun!

The Orchard Centre is the place to go for shopping in Didcot housing many well known stores including a supermarket and is open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Sunday although our guess is that the shops won’t be open as late as that however the Wildwood Kitchen is in fact open to 11pm.
With a population of over 25000 and a size of 8.48 km² Didcot is a well-established township with ample amenities and is home to Didcot Town FC who won the FA Vase in 2005.
