Latest Covid-19 news for Oxford taxis
The Oxford city licensing team have instructed our drivers to have no more than three passengers in a vehicle. That means NO passengers are allowed to sit in the front seat of the vehicle. If there are more than three passengers you will require a minibus.

Oxford’s Royal Cars will put CCTV in all of its cabs
Those hopping into Royal Cars will be filmed as soon as the ignition starts, in a bid to make it the ‘safest taxi company in Oxfordshire’. Nick Breakspear, the business development manager at Royal Cars, said:
“So long as the car is on, the CCTV will be on too.
It will be put on the windscreen in the middle – like a dash-cam footage but looking in and out of the car.

Drink driving awareness campaign this Christmas
In 2015, provisional figures show that 220 people were killed, 1, 160 were seriously injured and there were over 8,000 casualties in total in drink drive accidents. Although the level of drinking and driving has dropped dramatically over the last three decades, over 200 people are still killed in drink drive accidents every year. Despite 30 years of drink drive education and enforcement, over 70,000 people are still caught drink driving annually.
