Waterperry is a village next to the River Thame close to the county boundary 7 miles east of Oxford. There is a mansion (Waterperry House) a seventeenth century building that was remodelled early in the 18th and then again in 1820.
Waterperrys history has been recorded as far back as the doomsday book of 1066 and plenty of hostorical information can be found at the museum at the Waterperry Gardens. The gardens was made famouse by Beatrix Havergal in 1932 when she established a school of horticulture for ladies, the school ran until 1971.
